About Me

Hi! My name is Oribell Botero, and I run Botero Speech 4 Kids. I am an American-trained bilingual speech-language therapist with over 20 years of experience. During this time, I have worked in various settings in the United States and the United Kingdom.

My intervention strategy is collaborative, family-centred, multi-sensory, and multidisciplinary. I ensure to liaise with parents, and education and healthcare professionals.

Sessions are fun and interactive. I am aware of the impact sensory processing has on attention and language. During treatment, I look at children as a whole to make sure they are in the best possible mindset to engage. I care about clients, and I reflect this in therapy, reports, and willingness to go the extra mile.

As a mother, I understand how overwhelming it can be to want to help your child as a parent. To help you feel more in control, I can help you improve the quality of your interactions. It is important to remember that parents are the experts.

I am a strong supporter of bilingualism. The one-parent, one-language approach is the model I am using to raise my three children. It has been incredible to see how their language skills in Spanish and English have evolved.
